CSTB - GEOMOD co-development
MithraSUITE is a range of software designed to predict people’s exposure to electromagnetic and acoustic in a complex environment.
These software are developed by the CSTB / Geomod partnership which combines the research power of CSTB with the reactivity in development and support of a small company:
- CSTB brings its expertise in the field of wave propagation.
- Geomod brings its expertise in geomatics.
MithraSUITE
MithraSUITE is composed of two software:
- MithraSIG dedicated to acoustic mapping.
- MithraREM dedicated to the mapping of electromagnetic radiation.
The MITHRA simulation engine developed by CSTB is based on a powerful algorithm for finding paths between sources and receivers in a complex environment. The paths consist of direct, diffracted or reflected rays.
Algorithms adapted to prediction in complex environment
Because there is no one type of environment, MithraSUITE software have precise and specific algorithms to adapt to each project. They can be used for different environments like:
- a closed environment such as the center of a city with a high density of construction.
- an open environment with vast spaces between buildings.
- mountain sites where ground relief influences propagation.
Based on the 3D GIS Cadcorp SIS for maximum interoperability
The software that constitute MithraSUITE uses SIS, the Geographic Information System (GIS) of British publisher Cadcorp.
The use of the Cadcorp SIS engine allows files to be read and written in multiple formats, which facilitates interoperability with other software.
Moreover, unlike other GIS, Cadcorp SIS brings 3D support.
